This is Christ's church.  There is a place for you here.

Our Mission - To be a beacon of light fostering a place of belonging rooted in God's love, his word and his call to community and service.

Sunday, October 12th, Second Sunday Single Service
has been canceled due to the impending storm. Please stay safe and dry at home.

Even as the storm keeps us apart physically, let's stay spiritually connected.  Check out our ZionLBI YouTube page and dive into our vast library of more than five years of archived services at Zion. Pick a recorded service to reignite your passion, recall cherished teachings, or draw fresh strength from scripture. Head over to our Zion YouTube page during the storm or anytime to browse and be blessed—your faith journey continues uninterrupted and we'll see you next Sunday!

This Week's Message

Chaplain Liz Lahti-Rosensaft

Transformation is at the heart of our spiritual journey, much like a caterpillar's metamorphosis into a butterfly. Romans 12 calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, not conforming to this world. This transformation occurs gradually as we feed our minds with positive, godly content and become more intentional about recognizing God's presence in our daily lives. Through this process, we're changed from glory to glory, no longer bound by our limitations but empowered to soar beyond what we thought possible. God often speaks through His creation, inviting us to notice His transformative work in both significant moments and everyday encounters.

Announcements this Week

All events are listed on our Zion church calendar on this website.  Check this calendar at any time if you have schedule questions.

NEXT SUNDAY, Oct 12th is a SSSS Sunday with worship at 9:30, followed by brunch.  The purpose of Second Sun Single Sun is to provide a time of worship and fellowship for the members and friends of the congregation to be “in touch” with one another since we have two worship services and do not see one another.

This SSSS is also a time when each worshipper is encouraged to bring in a can of food (or another non-perishable food item) for the Tuckerton Food Pantry. We look forward to being together in worship and in fellowship.

SAVE THE DATE for an Autumn Soup Supper on Tuesday, Oct 21st at 6:00.  More info to come.

ZION ARTISTS SHOWCASE is scheduled to be held at Zion on Nov. 15.  This is a new opportunity to enjoy a variety of artistic mediums.  You will be able to meet the artists, (all members and friends of Zion), as they display their work.  Demonstrations and explanations will also be shared.

THE HOME GROUP Bible Study has begun meeting on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm at the home of Liz & Brian Griswold, 9 E 5th St., Barnegat Light.  The study is using “The Chosen” movie, season 5, as their study.  All are welcome.

INTRODUCING THE SUGGESTION BOX – Do you have an idea for ministry at Zion, if so, you may wish to use the SUGGESTION BOX to pass on your idea.  There are two boxes, one in the narthex to the Nave and one in the entrance area to the Fellowship Hall.  Your suggestion will be passed on to the congregational leader who oversees your idea.

YOU ARE INVITED by Dr. Glenn and the Rev. Diane Burkland to a Bible Study that they lead via Zoom on Tuesdays at 10:00.  A new study just began on the book of Acts (a good time to join).  You are cordially invited to participate.  For more information, please email the church at ZionChurchLBI@gmail.com for the Zoom information.

PARSONAGE RENOVATIONS have begun.  Many thanks to Barbara & Sal Annarumma and the facilities committee for their oversight.  Special offerings are being received for this project.  If you can contribute, please note on your gift “Parsonage Renovation”.  Thank you.
