Fellowship at Zion

Mark your calendar for November 15, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for a new opportunity to enjoy a variety of artistic mediums. You will be able to meet the artists, (all members and friends of Zion Lutheran Church), as they display their work. Demonstrations and explanations of techniques will also be shared.
Include a stop at Zion Lutheran Church (18th and Central) in Barnegat Light in your holiday shopping. Seasonal refreshments will be served.
Sunday, November 9th is Second Sunday Single Service
Only one service is held at 9:30am in the Fellowship Hall

WELCOME VISITORS – We are delighted that you have joined us today in worship. We pray that you will experience the Lord’s presence as we worship together. Would you please be so kind as to complete a Connection Card so that we can let you know what’s happening at Zion and invite you to join us. (At the 8:30 service, the card is on the back counter.)
BE THE LIGHT! - The Estimate of Giving cards have been mailed. November 16th is Commitment Sunday, when we will collect your completed Estimate of Giving cards during both services. If you are away that Sunday, please mail the completed cards to the church office in the enclosed envelope. The Estimate of Giving cards are also available at the back of the Church and Fellowship Hall. Thanks for your support ...and your commitment to Be The Light.
ZION ARTISTS SHOWCASE is scheduled to be held at Zion on Nov. 15, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This is a new opportunity to enjoy a variety of artistic mediums. You will be able to meet the artists, (all members and friends of Zion), as they display their work. Demonstrations and explanations will also be shared. Items for purchase will be available.
THANKSGIVING with ST. PETER’S ESPISCOPAL will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23rd at Zion. There will be a dinner at 5:30 pm followed by worship at 7:00 pm. Please sign-up if you are able to come to the dinner and also if you can bring a food dish. Volunteers are needed to assist in room preparation and decoration. The US FLAG for November is dedicated by Pat Doyle in honor of Dick Doyle & the US Marines.
Many THANKS to the Fellowship Committee for their work on the Autumn Soup Supper this past week. Besides the food, this was a wonderful time of fellowship. More gatherings are being planned in the upcoming months.
THE HOME GROUP Bible Study meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm at the home of Liz & Brian Griswold, 9 E 5th St., Barnegat Light. The study is using “The Chosen” movie, season 5, as their study. All are welcome.
INTRODUCING THE SUGGESTION BOX – Do you have an idea for ministry at Zion, if so, you may wish to use the SUGGESTION BOX to pass on your idea. There are two boxes, one in the narthex to the Nave and one in the entrance area to the Fellowship Hall. Your suggestion will be passed on to the appropriate congregational leader.

Our 8:30am Contemporary Service is held in our Fellowship Hall September through April.
Worship by the Bay
From May through August worship with us at this service in the fresh air by the bay at the Bay Breeze Pavilion at the corner of Bayview and 6th Street in Barnegat Light.
10am Sunday
Traditional Communion Service
Youth Message and Sunday School
Join us for our traditional service every Sunday at 10am in our church sanctuary. All are welcome to join us in celebrating communion.
At this service we welcome children of all ages for a short youth message before the sermon after which the youth go to the Fellowship Hall for Sunday School. More about our Youth Ministry.
